The 10 Days Uganda Safari is an exceptional journey through Uganda’s most remarkable wildlife destinations. On this adventure, I take you across savannah plains, tropical rainforests, crater lakes, and rolling highlands. Together, we explore three of Uganda’s most iconic parks: Murchison Falls National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Along the way, you track rhinos on foot, cruise along wildlife-rich channels, trek chimpanzees in lush forests, and spend extended time with endangered mountain gorillas. This safari blends adventure, relaxation, and unforgettable wildlife encounters into one perfectly paced 10-day experience.
All arrangements are handled professionally by Experiya Tour Company, ensuring comfort, safety, and authentic Ugandan hospitality throughout your journey.
On arrival, I personally welcome you and introduce you to your professional driver-guide from Experiya Tour Company. After a short safari briefing, we transfer you to your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe.
This first evening allows you to relax after your journey. Enjoy dinner, settle into your room, and prepare for the adventure ahead.
After breakfast, we begin our journey northwest toward Murchison Falls National Park. The drive introduces you to Uganda’s rural countryside, local markets, and traditional homesteads.
Our first stop is Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for guided rhino tracking. Walking through the bush and observing white rhinos at close range is both thrilling and humbling. This stop completes your chance to see all members of the Big Five during the safari.
After lunch in Masindi, we continue to the park. If time allows, we head out for an evening game drive. Expect sightings of buffaloes, giraffes, Uganda kobs, elephants, and possibly predators preparing for the night.
Dinner and overnight at your lodge.
We rise early for a sunrise game drive across the northern savannah plains. The golden light makes wildlife viewing magical. I guide you through prime wildlife areas where we often see elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes, and large antelope herds.
Bird lovers also enjoy spotting hornbills, bee-eaters, and other savannah species.
We return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation.
In the afternoon, we cruise along the Nile toward the base of the powerful waterfalls. The concentration of hippos and Nile crocodiles along the riverbanks is remarkable. Elephants and buffaloes frequently come down to drink.
The highlight is approaching the base of the dramatic falls, where the Nile forces itself through a narrow gorge before plunging downward in spectacular fashion.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, we depart for Kibale National Park, Uganda’s primate capital.
The scenic drive offers views of tea plantations, crater lakes, and the distant Rwenzori Mountains. We stop for lunch en route and stretch our legs along the way.
Upon arrival, you check into your forest lodge. The atmosphere here feels cooler and greener, preparing you for tomorrow’s chimpanzee adventure.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After an early breakfast, we head to Kanyanchu Visitor Centre for a briefing. Guided by experienced rangers, we trek through the forest in search of chimpanzees.
The trek may take two to five hours depending on their location. Once we find them, you spend one hour observing their fascinating behavior — feeding, grooming, playing, and calling to one another.
This close encounter offers incredible photography opportunities and unforgettable memories.
After lunch, we drive south to Queen Elizabeth National Park. If time permits, we enjoy an evening game drive before settling into the lodge for dinner and overnight.
We explore the Kasenyi Plains at sunrise. Here, we track lions (optional lion research tracking experience) and search for leopards, elephants, buffaloes, and large herds of Uganda kobs.
The open savannah provides excellent wildlife photography conditions.
In the afternoon, we cruise along the famous Kazinga Channel, a 40-kilometer waterway linking Lake George and Lake Edward.
This boat trip offers one of Africa’s highest concentrations of hippos. We also see crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and countless water birds along the shores. Local fishermen preparing for night fishing add cultural charm to the experience.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, we journey toward Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
The drive passes through scenic hills, rural villages, and terraced farmlands. After lunch the route, we continue into the misty highlands of southwestern Uganda.
You check into your lodge near the forest and prepare for tomorrow’s extraordinary gorilla encounter.
Dinner and overnight.
Today is the highlight of your safari.
After an early breakfast, we head to the park headquarters for a briefing. Unlike standard trekking, the gorilla habituation experience allows you to spend up to four hours with a semi-habituated gorilla family.
The trek can last most of the day, depending on the gorillas’ movements. Once located, you observe them feeding, grooming, nursing infants, and interacting naturally.
Spending extended time with these gentle giants feels deeply personal and profoundly moving. After the trek, you receive a certificate recognizing your participation.
We return to the lodge for a well-earned dinner and rest.
After a relaxed breakfast, we transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, often described as one of Uganda’s most beautiful lakes.
Surrounded by terraced hills, the lake features 29 scenic islands. In the afternoon, we enjoy a peaceful boat ride, exploring the islands while soaking in panoramic views and cool breezes.
The rest of the day is free for relaxation, swimming (the lake is bilharzia-free), or simply enjoying the tranquility.
Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Kampala or Entebbe. We stop at the Equator for photographs and souvenir shopping.
Upon arrival, your guide drops you at Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight or at your preferred location.
