Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, your professional safari guide warmly welcomes you and provides a short briefing about your journey. Afterward, you begin a scenic drive westward toward Kibale Forest National Park, passing through beautiful countryside, tea plantations, and small towns.
Along the way, you enjoy a packed lunch and make short stops for photography and relaxation. By late afternoon, you arrive at Kibale Forest and check into your lodge. Spend the evening unwinding in the tranquil forest setting before enjoying dinner. Overnight at the lodge as you prepare for the next day’s chimpanzee adventure.
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Kibale Forest headquarters for a briefing on chimpanzee tracking guidelines. Accompanied by experienced rangers, you venture into the forest to track a habituated chimpanzee community. During the trek, you may also encounter red-tailed monkeys, black-and-white colobus monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabeys, and a rich variety of birdlife.
Following this exciting experience, return to the lodge for lunch and relaxation. Later in the afternoon, head out for a guided walk in Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary, a renowned community-based conservation project.
