Stop for lunch en route before continuing to Kibale, near the magnificent Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the Mountains of the Moon.

Kibale is one of Africa’s best destinations for chimpanzee tracking and is home to a remarkable diversity of primates. During the trek, learn about chimpanzee behaviour, feeding habits, and conservation while looking out for other primates, colourful birds, and fascinating forest vegetation.
After the trek, enjoy lunch before travelling south-west towards Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Take in the changing scenery as you pass through Uganda’s countryside and rural communities. Depending on the route, you may pass through or near Queen Elizabeth National Park.

The trek may take approximately 2–6 hours or longer, depending on the gorillas’ location, terrain, and forest conditions. Although the hike can be physically demanding, the opportunity to observe endangered mountain gorillas in their natural habitat makes it an extraordinary experience. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend the permitted viewing time observing their behaviour and interactions.
Carry a packed lunch, as the trekking duration can vary.
After the trek, transfer to Lake Bunyonyi, renowned for its peaceful waters, beautiful islands, and terraced hills. Upon arrival, check in at your accommodation and enjoy the tranquil surroundings.
