A 2 Days Masai Mara Safari Package is the perfect choice for travelers with limited time who still want to experience one of Africa’s most iconic wildlife reserves. Whether you’re an international visitor on a short stay in Nairobi, attending a workshop, or an expatriate looking for a weekend adventure, this tour offers an unforgettable glimpse into the heart of Kenya’s wildlife.
The Maasai Mara National Reserve is world-famous for its breathtaking landscapes, diverse wildlife, and the annual wildebeest migration—hailed as the “8th Wonder of the World.” Covering about 580 square miles, the Mara connects seamlessly with Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, forming one of the greatest ecosystems on earth. The reserve is named after the Maasai people and the Mara River, which flows through the savannah, sustaining wildlife all year.
Here, endless rolling plains, scattered acacia trees, and dramatic escarpments provide the backdrop for the Big Five and countless other species. Between July and October, over 1.5 million wildebeest and zebras cross the plains in search of greener pastures, offering dramatic predator-prey encounters at the Mara River.
Despite being only two days, this safari offers a chance to witness the magic of the Mara with well-planned game drives, Maasai cultural encounters, and scenic countryside views.
Your safari begins early in Nairobi. At 6:00 a.m., your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or residence. After a short briefing, you’ll depart for the Maasai Mara, traveling through the scenic Great Rift Valley with a stopover to marvel at the panoramic views. The journey continues through Narok town, home to the Maasai community, where you’ll catch glimpses of their traditional lifestyle.
Arrive at your camp or lodge around midday, check in, and enjoy lunch before embarking on your first game drive at 2:30 p.m. Explore the Mara’s sweeping savannahs in search of lions, elephants, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, and more. If visiting between July and October, you’ll witness the incredible wildebeest migration.
Return to your camp or lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.
Wake up early for a sunrise game drive, the best time to see predators on the move. Watch lions patrol the tracks, spot elephants grazing, and enjoy the golden light across the savannah. The game drive will explore a different section of the reserve for a fresh perspective on the Mara’s wildlife.
After breakfast, begin the journey back to Nairobi, with lunch en route. Expect to arrive between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. Your driver will drop you off at your hotel, residence, or the airport.
