Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Drive to Lake Mburo & Boat Cruise on Lake Mburo

Start your adventure early in the morning after a hearty breakfast. Your driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel or agreed meeting point and begin the journey west to Lake Mburo National Park.

Along the way, enjoy several fascinating stopovers. The highlight is the Uganda Equator, a picture-perfect location to capture memories and participate in the classic water experiment that demonstrates how water flows in opposite directions in the two hemispheres.

Continue your drive to the park, where you will arrive in time for lunch at your lodge. Afterward, set out for a boat cruise on Lake Mburo. Glide across the tranquil waters while spotting enormous hippos, crocodiles, and a rich variety of birds. Keep an eye out for animals like giraffes, zebras, and warthogs as they come to the water to drink in the late afternoon.

Return to the lodge in the evening for a relaxing dinner and overnight stay amidst nature’s serenity.

Day 2: Morning Game Drive & Return to Kampala

Wake up to a delicious breakfast and prepare for an exhilarating morning game drive in Lake Mburo National Park. Over 3–4 hours, your guide will lead you through the park’s savanna landscapes, where you can encounter elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, zebras, giraffes, Uganda kobs, duikers, and many more. The park’s compact size ensures you get excellent wildlife viewing without spending the whole day on the road.

After the game drive, enjoy lunch at your lodge before starting the journey back to Kampala. Depending on your schedule, you can continue directly to Entebbe International Airport to catch your flight home or return to your hotel for an overnight stay.
