 Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Morning:
Experiya Tour Company Guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe and transfer you to Entebbe International Airport (EBB) for your scheduled morning or mid-morning domestic flight to Kisoro Airstrip (KXO) in southern Bwindi (approximately 1.5 hours).

Afternoon:
Upon arrival at Kisoro, your dedicated guide will transfer you to your lodge in the Rushaga sector of Bwindi. Settle in and enjoy a hot lunch while being welcomed and briefed about the lodge and the upcoming adventure.

Optional Activity:
After lunch, join a guided tour of a local Batwa community, where you can learn about their unique culture, traditions, and way of life.

Evening:
Return to your lodge for dinner and a briefing about the following day’s gorilla habituation program. Retire to your room for an overnight stay amidst the tranquil forest.

Day 2: Gorilla Habituation Experience

Early Morning:
After an early breakfast, pack the provided lunch and transfer to the park headquarters.

Briefing:
Uganda Wildlife Authority (UWA) ranger guides and researchers will provide a detailed briefing on safety, etiquette, and what to expect during your encounter with the gorillas.

The Trek:
Accompany the research team into the forest in search of the gorilla family. The trek may be physically demanding over unpredictable terrain, but the reward is incomparable.

Habituation Experience:
Once the gorillas are located, spend up to four hours observing their behavior, social interactions, and family dynamics. You may also participate in habituation activities, such as collecting non-intrusive samples, under expert guidance.

Late Afternoon:
Return to the park headquarters, receive your certificate of participation, and head back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Departure from Bwindi

Morning:
Enjoy a final breakfast at the lodge. Depending on your flight schedule, bid farewell to the lodge and drive to Kisoro Airstrip.

Mid-Morning:
Check in for your domestic flight back to Entebbe International Airport, concluding your unforgettable gorilla habituation adventure.
