Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Entebbe by a professional driver-guide. After a short briefing, you set off on a scenic drive toward southwestern Uganda, passing through lush countryside, rolling hills, tea plantations, and traditional villages.
Along the way, you stop for refreshments and lunch at a local restaurant. As you approach Lake Bunyonyi, the landscape transforms into dramatic terraced hills descending into crystal-clear waters. Upon arrival in the late afternoon, you check in at your lakeside lodge and take time to relax.
Depending on your arrival time, you may enjoy a leisurely walk around the lodge or simply admire the breathtaking views of the lake from your balcony. Later in the evening, you enjoy dinner at the lodge, followed by a peaceful overnight stay surrounded by nature.

After an early breakfast, you head out for a guided boat cruise on Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most scenic and safest lakes. During the cruise, you explore several of the lake’s 29 islands, each with a unique cultural and historical background.
Your first stop is Punishment Island, where local communities once abandoned unmarried pregnant girls a moving story that offers deep insight into traditional customs. You then continue to Bwama Island, home to a historic school founded by an English missionary, before visiting Njuyeera Island, where you interact with local residents and learn about daily island life.
After the cruise, you return to the lodge for lunch. In the afternoon, you may choose between a guided nature walk, birdwatching, swimming in the bilharzia-free waters, or simply relaxing by the lakeside.

Following an early breakfast, you depart Lake Bunyonyi and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s most biologically diverse forests.
Upon arrival at the park headquarters, you receive a detailed briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers on gorilla trekking rules and safety guidelines. You are then assigned a gorilla family and begin your guided trek into the dense rainforest.
The trek can last anywhere between 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ location. Once you find them, you spend a magical one hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, play, and interact in their natural habitat. This is a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter and one of Africa’s most profound experiences.
After the trek, you enjoy a packed lunch and take time to reflect on your adventure. Later in the afternoon, you begin the return journey to Entebbe, with scenic stops along the way. You arrive in the evening, where your guide drops you off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your safari.
